Avante is not a party to the purchase agreement ultimately concluded between buyer and seller. Our role consists of offering and managing the platform and, where applicable, providing additional services such as a horse search service and organizing veterinary examinations.

When you instruct Avante to search for a suitable horse on your behalf, we process the data necessary to execute your search request.

- other wishes and preferences you provide to us;
- communication and correspondence regarding the search request.

- search for suitable horses;
- select potentially suitable horses;
- present horses to you;
- facilitate contact with sellers where necessary;
- communicate with you about potential horses;
- execute the agreed-upon search service.

Our search service is a obligation of means and not an obligation of result..
We cannot guarantee that we will find a suitable horse, that a proposed horse will remain available, or that a horse ultimately found will, in practice, fully meet your expectations or wishes.
When Avante proposes a horse to you, it does not mean that Avante guarantees the horse or vouches for its health, suitability, quality, behavior, or the information provided by the seller regarding the horse.
The final decision to view, have a veterinary examination performed, or purchase a horse always lies with the client.
Legal basis
The processing of personal data for the search service is primarily based on the performance of the agreement between you and Avante.
Where necessary, personal data may also be processed on the basis of a legitimate interest or a legal obligation.
5. Veterinary examination and inspection service
When you use our service to arrange a clinical examination of a horse, we process the data necessary to coordinate this examination.
This may include, but is not limited to:
- your name and contact details;
- name and contact details of the owner or seller of the horse, if necessary;
- the location of the horse;
- information required to organize the appointment;
- veterinary reports, examination results, and X-rays provided to us in connection with the services.
The actual veterinary examination is conducted by an independent veterinarian or veterinary clinic.
Avante does not perform veterinary examinations itself and does not provide veterinary diagnoses or medical assessments. Avante does not personally evaluate X-rays or other images, nor does it schedule radiographic examinations; the examination report and images are sent directly to the buyer, who evaluates them with their own veterinarian.
For what purpose do we use this data?
We use this data to:
- organize an appointment with a veterinarian or clinic;
- maintain contact with the involved veterinarian or clinic;
- coordinate the examination;
- forward relevant examination documents to the client;
- administratively handle our service provision.
Data regarding the horse
Data that solely relates to a horse is not personal data in itself within the meaning of the GDPR.
However, a veterinary report may contain personal data, for example, the name or contact details of an owner, client, or veterinarian. When such personal data is processed by Avante, we handle it in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.

Data related to a completed inspection service are in principle stored for a maximum of 2 years after completion of the service, unless a longer retention period is necessary due to a legal obligation or a legal dispute.
