Quathaga

DESCRIPTION

Quathaga is an elegant and experienced 2012 Hannoverian mare with a proven competition record, excellent bloodlines, and a genuine talent for showjumping. Standing at approximately 1.75 m, she combines scope, carefulness, rideability, and a willing attitude, making her an interesting horse for a rider looking for an experienced showjumping mare with a solid sporting background.

Quathaga has a lovely and people-oriented character and is pleasant to work with both at home and at competitions. She is careful and consistent over fences and shows a genuine willingness to jump. Her good rideability also makes her suitable for a junior rider, demonstrating the combination of experience, reliability, and sporting ability she offers.

She is bred from an exceptional jumping pedigree. Quathaga is by Quaid I, a successful showjumping stallion who competed up to 1.45 m, and her pedigree goes back to the legendary Quidam de Revel through grandsire Quidam’s Rubin. On her dam’s side, she is out of Catania by Carthago, one of the most influential showjumping sires of his generation, who competed at the highest level up to 1.60 m. The combination of Quaid I, Quidam de Revel, Carthago, and the Capitol I line gives Quathaga a particularly strong and proven jumping pedigree.

Quathaga has extensive competition experience and a well-documented record with the German Equestrian Federation (FN). Between 2019 and 2025, she completed 133 competition starts with 41 placings, including numerous clear rounds and strong results at 1.20 m and 1.25 m. Her competition record includes a 3rd place in Kl. M (1.20 m) at Bad Kissingen*, as well as wins at Darmstadt and Kreuth.

More recently, Quathaga competed in Romania at the Cupa României in June 2026, where she achieved a 2nd place at 1.15 m, 4th place at 1.20 m, and 3rd place at 1.05 m, all with clear rounds. She is therefore an experienced showjumper who continues to compete successfully and has demonstrated her ability to perform consistently in the ring.

In August 2026, Quathaga underwent a complete veterinary examination. X-rays and ultrasound examinations were performed, and she was found to be healthy and fit. Full veterinary documentation is available to serious buyers.

Quathaga is currently based in Bucharest, Romania, where she can be viewed and ridden. Competition videos are available, including rounds at 1.20 m, as well as training footage over 1.25 m and 1.30 m. Her full documentation, including her FEI passport and FN competition history, is also available.

Quathaga is an interesting horse for a rider looking for an experienced, athletic, and reliable Hannoverian showjumping mare with an excellent jumping pedigree, extensive competition experience, and the ability to continue competing successfully at 1.20–1.25 m and potentially further.
